Get a Lead Inspection

Homeowners and tenants with children can request a free lead inspection from the Boston Public Health Commission by filling out the request form here.

The MA Department of Public Helath offers advice on how to choose a lead inspector or risk assessor. This website provides information on the difference between a lead inspector and risk assessor and what each can do. Depending on your personal situation or preference, you may choose one or the other.

This website on choosing an inspector or assessor can be accessed at: How to Choose a Lead Inspector

They also provide a search engine to find a lead inspector. You can search in your city or town, search for a particular company, or search for a lead inspector by name. Note: If your town is not listed in the drop-down menu, pick a town nearby, as those inspectors will likely serve neighboring areas.

Access the Lead Inspector search engine at: Licensed Lead Inspector Search
